In addition to the Agent-General, Judge Caaoy will represent Victoria at the Poßtal Convention in Vienna. Tbe revenno for the post nine months has fallen short of the estimate by £300,000. There appear to ha strained relations between Rear-Admiral Lord Charles Scott and tha Viotorian Government. Some time ago a suggestion was made that a naval demonstration should be held on the arrival of the Auxilliary Fleet, and the proposition was favourably entertained by the Government, bnt when tho matter was brought nader the notice of the Admiral he replied in terms of manifest umbrage at the interference of the Government, acd intimated he would make his own arrangements for tho reception of the fleet, (
