AQUATICS.
4, There ia every reason to believe that the rowing regatta to-morrow will be quite as suooessful as any hitherto held in Wellington. The wind at the present time is from the southward, and if it continues in that dirootion the races will be rowed on the course between Point Jerningham and the Qneen'a Wharf If, however, a northerly wind ia blowing', tho regatta will have to take place at Petone, where the water will be smooth. The first raoo will start at 11.30 o'olook if tbe rpgatta ia to come off at Petone, or 12 o'olook if the events are to oome off in Wellington. The many entries for each event are satisfactory, and some exciting finishes are expected. The Wellington Bowing Club, which was ao sncceßsful at Wauganui a few dayß ago, will, it is thought, oatry off the major portion of the prize money. The Mana has been engaged to follow the races. The following are our tip 3 for to-morrow's events : Soulls— Bridaon. Maiden Fours — Wellington Rowing Club. Senior Outrigged Fours— Wellington Rowing Club. Maiden Double Scnlla— Stjr Boating Club Senior Double Sculls— Wollington Rowing Club. Junior Double Sculls— Stir Boating Club. Pair Oar— Wellington Rowing Club. Ladies' Plate— Lyttelton Rowing Club. Senior lnriggei Fours— Wellington Rowing Club.
