The Agents-General ate urging the Chancellor of the Exchequer to give an early answer to the request of the colonies that the Imperial Government should orntribute to the oable subsidies and sharo tho guarantee. A Mr. Weston is oharged with forging the name of Wertheimer to a oheque endorsed by Lady Dunlo. In the Houee of Commons the Bankruptcy Bill has been read the third time. Zanzibar, 9th July. Dr. Peters has arrived here. Buda Pbbth, 10th July. A severe storm has destroyed the crops, covering two thousand square mileß, in Galioia, and two million people are threatened with famine. Sofia, 10th July. A girl fired a shot at M. Stambouloff , the Premier, to-day, but fortunately without hitting him. Capetown, 9th July. Tho South Afrioan Railway Bill has been defeated, and it is expected that tho Government will either roeign or appeal to tho country.
