DUNEDIN NOTES.
IBy Telegraph.! {Our Own Correspondent.) Dunedin. This Dat. Thcro are no indications of rain, and tho Forbury course is getting as hard db a, mtcadamised road. It was only to bo expected that ti continuanoe of tho dry weather would injnrionaly affect some of tbo horses in training, and St. James and Don Csosar havo already gone amiss, and will bo absentees from the Anniversary Meeting. My impressions for tho first day are :— Anniversary HandicapA-Mon Loup ; Trot— Ruby; Cliffa Handicap— la Eose or Belvidore. The Great Autumn Handicap is an absoluto dead letter, not a solitary wager being recorded duriDg the week.
Messrs. Yuilo and Natban advertise starling prices in all events at the Dunodin Anni- j versary Meeting to-morrow and Monday.
