The Timeß, in referring to the proposals for an Australian Dominion, states that a little punctilio ought not to deter Sir Henry Parkes from aocepting the proposal of the Premier of Victoria for a conference to discuss federation, otherwise federation is only a dream. Archbishop Croke has advised tho members of the Tenanta' Defence Leaguo on no account to break the law. Berlin, 19th November. The motion brought down in the Reichstag by Herr Riohter to stop the subsidy paid to the German steam service between Samoa and Sydney has been referred to the Budget Committee. The Government are oppoaed j to the proposal.
