The London correspondent of the Sydney Morning Herald states that at the inquest on the lost victim of the London murders Dr. Baxter gave it as his opinion that there waa every reapnn to beliovo the mnrdera were committed f>>r the purpose of obtaining specimens of ft portion of the human body. They were the work, not of a lunatio, bnt of a medical student who waa a surgeon, for the body was cut up in a way that showed tho assassin knew exactly where to find the organ he wanted. No meaningless cuts were observablo, and this applied not to one, bnt to all of the victims.
