| UNITED PRIBB ASSOCIATION. | Auckland, 29th October. A fire at Newton to-night broke out in the rosidenoe of Laurence Burke, a contractor while the family were absent at the Opera House. The house was destroyed, but the furniture was partly saved. The insuranoe is unknown. The house adjoining, oooupied by Henry Newton, was burned down. The furniture was partly saved. Insuranoe .8100 in the Northern Company. The honse was owned by Mr. Perook, of the Great Omaha Special Settlement. The insuranoe is unknown. a A v v Ho ? Jt xx T vlK;i>v IK;i> mh °«t°ber. A nre broke out at the farmhouse of Mr Kelly, at Kokaiti, on Saturday evening' Everything was destroyed exoept a little furniture, whioh was saved. The insurance on the building is X3OO in the Victoria Company, and £50 on the furniture in the Norwioh Union office. The family were away at Hokitika at the time, and Mr. Kelly was working at a farm a few fields away.
