Dr. Coward, for many years coroner here, died yesterday, aged 73. He was for several years medical officer to the Gaol Lunatio Asylum and police and a member of the Board of Governors of Canterbury College. He came here in 1857. He resigned the coronership about four years ago, and has been in falling health since. Mabterton, This Dat. Wm. Golding, for assaulting the police, was sentenced this morning to 20 days' hard labour.
