At Elloralie this morning Nelson put in a | strong gallop over the Cup distance, getting ' over tho ground in excellent stylo. Sextant accomplished two miles on the plough at his beat pace, the time recorded being 3min ' 423e0. The gallop was a good ono, but the colt showed signs of lameness on being ; pulled up. Lady Norah and Tetford went ! twioe round, the last six furlongs being at top speed. Lady Norah ran away from her companion at the finish. Yesterday Victoria and Cannon were tried over the Cup distance on the course proper, the lastnamed decidedly having tho best of it. The pair had Howitzer and Derringer for companions on the journey.
