Christmas at the Hospital.

* The patients at the Wellington Hospital have been enabled, by tho thoughtfulness of their friends amongst tho general public, to participate in the seasonable onjoyment. An oxcollent Christmas dinner was provided for them, and on Boxing night an entcrtainmout was given, in which Miss Gaby and several of the nurses took part. Presents were also distributed from a monster Christmas Tree, on which something was found for every inmate of the institution—toys for the children and useful articles for the adults. Mr. F. H. Frasor, Chairman of the Trustees, and Dr. Hassoll, House Surgeon, noted as distributors, Mr. Gaby, another member of tho Board, being also present, besides about 40 visitors. AH the wards had boon tastefully decorated for the occasion, with paper ornamonts, floral designs, mottoes, &c, and every patient who was able to leave his or her bed was brought into the now children's ward, to tako part in the general enjoyment. Mr. Fraser, it may bo mentioned, presented eaoh member of the nursing staff with a book on " Nnrsintr," which he had specially imported from England for the purpose
