I By Telegiiaph. I (Our Own Correspondent.) Palmerston North, This Day. An accidont happoned at the Awahnri Hack Races yosterday to Doherty, rider of Silvor King in the Hurdles, who foil, and had his head and ear badly cut. Although he was stunned, tho injuries are not daneorous. Jones, the boxing man, was fined -£2 and costs yesterday for assaulting the ticket collector at the Manawatu races on Monday. Tho second night of tho exhibition was vory successful, tho receipts totalling over -£80, making the gross amount for the two days ovor [By Telegraph.] Blenheim, This Day. Sailed, 2 p.m. — Kanieri, for Wellington.
