Thomas & Co. report produce prices :— ¦" The market for Derwent potatoes still remains in a most languid condition, nnd prices have, if anything, further receded since our laat report ; stocks are heavy and quotations rule from 40a to 45s for priment samples, while those lots in good condition but only fair in quality ar« ranging from 30s to 85s per ton ; kidney and other early seed samples are lather scarce at an average of £5 per ton. Good •onions remain almost unprocurable, and are value at £8 to £8 10s per ton; secondary samples are ¦without demand. Leading lines of grain are with;-, •out the slightest alteration, and rule as follows :— Oata, short seed, 2« 3d ; Tartarian and Danish ditto, Ha 2d per bushel ; feed descriptions rule from Is Sd, to 2i for short and long samples respectively ; oatmeal, £0 10s per ton ; straw ehnff, £3 ss ; sheaf do, £i ss; flour, stone process £10 to £10 ha, roller £10 lOsto £10 IBs; bran, £3 15s; pollard, £4 ss; -wheatmeal. £10 ss ; feed barley, 2s 9d to 2s lOd ; maize, 3s 9d ; peas, Prussian blues, 3s 9d ; beans. 3s lOd ; whole fowls' wheat, 8s 9d ; second quality, 3s 8d per bushel ; rye grass seed, 3s fid. Fresh Ibutter is now coming to hand somewhat abundantly and stocks are accumulating ; as this is a line which cannot be held tales aro being forced at low priceß, viz., from 6d to 8d per lb ; we quote 8d as the fair grocer* value; egn are weaker, also in consequence of increased supplies, and prices rule from 9d to 9£d •per doz ; cheese, id ; horns and bacon. 7d ; honey. 3d : fowl*, Ss 3d ; turkeys, 7s Fd ; ducks, 4s 6a ; And geese, at 7s, arc without any change. Usual supplies of Hobart spples (landed yesterday, are meeting with successful results; best samples of -cooking descriptions realise 9s, and desert from 7s *o 8s M ; qualities other than prime were cleared at £s to 7s 61 per case."
