Mr. Ormond, npeaking from the hustings, said be wan an opponent of the Ministry, and the voice of tbo country at this moment showed that it was already a Government of the past. Mr. Ivesa said ho wan a supporter of tho Ministry who hud done bo much for the industrial classes. An immense crowd surrounded the hustings, and tho roofs and balconies of houses opposite wero crowded. The show of hands wiim fonr to threo in favour of Mr. Ormond. A poll was demanded. Motueka. — Mr. Kichrnond Hnrathoane and Mr. John Korr have l>een nominated. Manawatu.— Mr. Douglas Hauting Macatthur and Mr. Ludolph George West have boon duly nominated. Tho Know of hands resulted in favonr of Mr. Wost by 78 to 55, and a poll was demanded on behalf of Mr. Mfioarthur. The proceedings wero pretty lively. fnycroartjill. — Mews. J. Hatch, .T. W.
