Sinclair A M'Callum are instructed to isßue writs, failing ample apology, for £1000 in eaoh case against Mr. Seymour, formerly Chairman of Committees of tho Houne of Representatives, the Marlborough Press, and tho Nelson Evening Mail. The writ against Mr. Seymour is for alleged slander in making certain statements reflecting on Mr. Mills, ono of his opponents, in connection with come local bodies. The writs against the newspapers arc for alleged libel in publishing tho statements.
