Fatal Accident at Pahiatua.
Constable Cullinane, of Pahiatua, telegraphed to Inspector Thomson on Saturday evening the particulars of a fatal accident which ooourred on the previous day in the Mangatainoko bush. It appears that two men named John Reimann and Stephen 1 Gray were engaged in felling bush, when a large tree came down npon them, killing Gray on the spot and breaking Beimann's leg. Constable Cuilinane procured assistance from' a storekeeper, who provided a conveyance and 'accompanied him to thd scene of the aooident, to bring the wounded man into town.' The inquest on Gray's; body was to have been held to-day. '"
