The Volunteers.
The competition for Hobson's Cnp by the City Rifles, commenced this morning, and was continued this afternoon, notwithstanding the unfavourable weather. The City Rifles and Guards parade at the Volunteer Drillshed on Monday next, at 7.30 p.m., for Government inspection and musketry drill. Drill order. A match between two teams of 10 men will be fired by the Guards on Saturday, 17th instant, five shots at 200, 300, and 500 yards. The teams will be picked by Lieutenants Coogan and Mackintosh. The Kaiwarra Rifles will parade at Kaiwarra on Monday evening.
