It was decided to take immediate [ steps for training y onng men to the ministry, i and the matter was remitted to a committee i for prompt action. The annual conference ; is to be held in November. A deputation . waß received from the Auckland Ministers' [ Association expressive of welcome to the ; UnioD. It comprised representatives of the 1 Anglican, Presbyterian, Wesleyan, Free Methodist, and Congregational ° Churches. , The Eev. C. Carter, of Cavorsham, and Mr. Gilbert Carson, of Wanganui, rosponded to i the speeches of the deputationists. There was a soiree this evening presided over by Sir William Fox.
