THE HOSPITAL COMMISSION.

We aro not aware whether it wonld be within the saope of the Hospital Commission to enquire into the aircumstanoes attending the acceptance of the Hospital tenders for liquors this year, bnt if so it wonld oertainly be well to fully investigate the facts. The matter was enquired into in a formal and far from satisfactory manner by the Publio Petitions Committee, but the evidenoe was not made publio, and we believe the fall facts were not brought out. It would be exceedingly desirable, and no doubt instructive, if they were. We wonld Buggest also that tho enquiry into the general question of the management of the Hospital will not be complete unless the evidenoe of the Colonial Seoretary and that of the Under Seoretary, Mr. Cooper, is taken. Dr. Grabham's evidenoe is that he warned the Colonial Seoretary that there would be trouble with Dr. Chilton. When this warning was given, and why it was disregarded, if made, shonld certainly bo brought out.
