The Hon. W. Reynolds yosterday moved and oarried on the voices a resolution that the Government should have two representatives in tho Counoil. The Rabbit JMuisanoo Aot Continuance Bill was passod through committee, road a third time, and paßsod. The debate was then resumed on the seoond reading of the Legislative Counoil Bill and SirF. Whitaker'B amendment " that a committee bo appointed to take into consideration the present constitution, powers, and prooodure of this Council, with a view to suggeat snoh amendments and alterations therein as the committee may deem expedient or desirable. Suoh committee to consist of nine members, to be ohosen by ballot ; to report within throe weeks." After some discussion, tho Booond roading was negatived by 2G to 14, and the amendment agreed to ou tho castingvote of the Speaker. Tho division on tho second reading was as follows : — Ayes — Mosbtb. Batnieoat, Bathgate, Buckloy, Dignan, Lahmann, Martin, Ngatata, Reovoß, Reynolds, Scotland, Shop* hard, Shrimski, Taiaroa, and Walker. Noes ' —Messrs.
