TO THE IDITOB. Sib— l think Mr. Parker is hardly giving a fair trial to our local composer's efforts, l)y placing them in snoh olose comparison to the glorious ohorusea of "Elijah." No doubt they appear " thin," &c, &0., and are soaroely worthy of the honour of being oonduoted by Mr. Eobert Parker, but he should remember that thore are those who have the talent to oompoee mnsio, and also those who can only find fault with the efforts of others. I, myself, consider the cantata a very creditable mnsioal effort, and quite deserving of being exempt from any one's ridicule. I am, <feo., % Justice.
