The Right Roy. Dr. Moran, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Sydney, leaves for Rome on the 12th June, and expects to be back in Australia by December next. London, 13th May. The frozen meat ex ship Canterbury, from Lyttelton, hat been examined and found in good condition. Ottawa, 13th May. Advices from Saskatchewan state that a pitched battle took place on Monday last between General Miduleton's forces and the rebels under Louis Riel, resulting in the enemy being ousted from their riflepits at tho point of the bayonet. During the straggle the Batouche Indians managed to rescue a number of prisoners who were in the hands of the Canadians. The loss on General Middleton's side was 1C killed and wounded, whilo a large number of Kiel's men were killed.
