It was decided to let it be known that if any lady students ojme forward they wonld bo admittod, and arrangements made for separate teaching in, one or two of the classes. Mr. Fulton brought forward a motion that this Council protests againit the appointment of Terence as ona of the class books for students for honours in tbe New Zealand Univerbity, and instructs its classical professors not to read these books in classes where there are lady stndenti. He mentionod that one lady student had been advised to risk her prospeot of success rather than read tho book. Finally the resolution was amended to read " recommend," instead of "initruot," andpused. Mr. Bathgare said he felt inohnod to propose that they diiassociato themselves from tho New Zealand University.
