EARTHQUAKE.
A distinct shook of earthquake was felt in Wellington at 11.55 this morning. The record obtained by Dr. Heotor from thn seismometer at the Colonial Mnsenm describes it aa a slight twisting 1 movement from S.W. with diaplaoement to the N., followed by a moderate E. and W. undulation. The large bell in the new Post Office, it may be added, ranpr, and the shook was preooded by a slight tremor.
