THE NEW VICTORIAN GUNBOAT, [SPECIAL TO UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
(Received November 7, 11.15 a.m.) London, 6th November. At a private trial of the new Victorian gunboat Childers at Woolwich, an average speed of 18£ knots was attained. Although the vessel's bottom was in a foul condition, at one trial her speed reached 2G£ knots.
