*[bbtttbe's tbueobahb.j Melboubne, loth November. At their wool sale to-day, Messrs. Goldsborough and Co. catalogued 4800 bales. The attendance of buyers was large, and the brisk competition experienced at recent sales was fully maintained. The highest prices realised were 16Jd for greasy, and 43|d for scoured. Four thousand five hundred bales were sold, and 300 withdrawn. Sailed, this afternoon— Union Company's steamship* Arawata, for the Bluff. Malting barley in in less demand, and prices Jre occasionally easier ; the present quotation is ds 2d. wheat has fallen 2d during the week. Shipping parcels are now quoted at 5s 4d. The market is steadier. New Zealand oats are firmer at about ljjst week's prices ; feeding qualities are worth 4s Id to 4s 3d ; milling ditto, 4s 4d to 4s sd.
