ftJNITKJ) PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, 10th September. The Wellington football team practise daily in the Domain. They speak in terms of unqualified praise of the ground, and are of opinion that it is not surpassed in the colony. Two serious mishaps have, unfortunately, attended their practices, rendering the possibility that two of the be3t players, Messrs. Wright and Campbell (brother of the captain) may be incapacitated from taking any part in the match. Mr. Wright has strained the muscle of his shoulder, and cannot therefore use the corresponding arm with any degree of freedom. Mr. Campbell's foot was accidently trodden on and badly sprained. The team have only one emergency man, but it is hoped that on» or both of the injured gentlemen will be recovered sufficiently to take part in the game whioh takes place to-morrow afternoon. The team are expected to return South by the Hawea on Tuesday, and will play matches at New Plymouth and Nelson should time permit. This Day. Great interest is taken in the match, which commences at 3 o'clock. The weather is splendid.
