NEW PLYMOUTH. 18th March.
The Premier arrived from Auckland this morning by steamer, and afterwards went with a party of gentlemen to Waitara by special train. He left for Inglewood by the 4 o'clock train, where he remains the guest of Colonel Trimble for the night, and goes on to Hawera this morning. Mr. Bryce returned from Punehu this morning. John Dale, on a charge of criminally assaulting his own daughter, was committed for trial.
