George Belson, cab-driver, was charged with loitering with his vehicle on the public street for a longer time than was necessary ior taking op or setting down passeogers. Mr. Furwood appeared for the defence, and contended that the City Inspector had no power to lay such an information. He Called attention to tha fact that the Act laid it down that the Town Olerk was the only person authorised to appear in such cases. Be had ascertained that the information was sworn before the Town Clerk as a J.P., which wm also Irregular. s Their Worships, after hearing some remarks from tha Inspector, decided to •ijottrn this case and several others of the same kind until Monday next, the 3rd instant, I
