THE REVISION COURT.

The annual Court for the revision of the Electoral Rolls will be held to-morrow. As considerable doubt and uncertainty always seem to prevail as to what course ought to be taken by persons whose names appear in the list of " objected to," some explanation probably will be acceptable. Six different grounds of objection will be found on fhe list. Of these two may be' dismissed at once, viz., "dead," and "no such person," unless, iudeed, some person finds that he is wroDgfully and inaccurately recorded as either defunct or non-existent, in which case it would be well for him to attend and prove his identity ; but such a probability is somewhat remote. The 'other grounds of objection we will take seriatim. (1) " Parted with qualification." Any person objected to on this ground, if lie has merely changed his place of abode or possesses another qualification entitling him to a vote — and almost anything will do this — should attend the Court aad furnish full information to the Revising Officer, in which case his name will bo retained on the roll, and the qualification or residence corrected. (2) "Twice on roll." A name often appears more than once on the roll from new claims having been sent in and admitted in the absence of any proof that the claimant was the same person whose name already appeared on the roll. It is very desirable that anyone objected to on this score should attend and ascertain that he is accredited with his accurate description. (3) " New claim sent in." The foregoing romark applies also in this case. (4) '* Wrong description." Persons objected to on this ground should attend and give ia a full and accurate description of their qualification. If these simple directions be followed there is no danger of any duly qualified doctor's name being struck off the roll.
