TO THB B»ITOR OP THB BVBNINO POST. Sir — Will you kindly call the attention of tho proper functionary, whoever he may be, to the very bad and unwholesome bread now sold by some bakers. My children have suffered from this abominable stuff. It seems a pity that a sudden and unlooked-for inspection of sucb things is not frequently made. The buns and cakes often contain currants whose taste can only be compared to tar. If you think comparison exaggerated, I will send you a sample of them. It is too bad that the little folks should be poisoned in thu way. Aaother subject I would wish you to notice is the unprotected state of that long extent of breastwork from the wharf to the railway station, where boys are always to be seen fishing. Should an accident occur either to a child or an aJult, no rescue would be possible, for the best swimmer in Wellington could not swim the whole length of it, and to scale its slippery sides with an additional barden would be palpably impossible I am, &c, Madrb,
