Mr. Yardley, who has for some time past filled the office of Victorian Secretary, has been appointed an assistant to tho New South Wales Agent-General. New Guinea news states that all the native teachers on the south-east coast, with tbe exception of five, have been murdered. It is believed that their drinking water was poisoned.
