GRAHAMSTOWN. 15th January.
A bushman named Patrick M'Glaston, working in Kauwaeranga bush, was killed today by a falling log crushing him against another. The body was brought in for the inquest. Mr. Sheehan leaves hero to-night for Auckland. He has been arranging with the natives for land through which the railway will pass, and was met satisfactorily. 16th January. The native* have promised Mr. Sheehan that they will allow tbe railway to be taken through their land without compensation, and have appointed a strong committee to act with the Government in the matter.
