MASTERTON. Bth January.
The Hon. John Martin intends cutting up a considerable portion of the run which he rerecsntly bought from the Hon. G. M- Waterhouse, for tho purpose of laying off smaller agricultual holdings. At the election of a Mayor of Grey town, Mr. Thomas Kempton, sen., polled 71, aud Mr. F. H. Wood 48. The former was therefore elected.
