LYTTELTON. 4th January.
Captain Grundy, of the schooner Torea, stated at the meeting of the distribution of regatta prizes last night, that, acting under telegraphic instructions from her owner, he hadlfchallenged the winner of the Champion Race, Alert, for £100 a-side, bat the Alert' declined.
