All trainß will call at any intermediate station I to take or set down, when required, on notice being given to the guard. GENERAL CONDITIONS. Parcels and Goods, for Eaiwnrra, Ngahauranga. Petone, Belmont, Haward's, Silver Stream, Kaitoke, Summit, CroeV Creek, and Pigeon Bush, must he prepaid, and will be put out on the platforms of those stations at the risk of the consignee. Parcels and Goods, from the above station can be made "to pay " at Wellington, Lower flutt, Upper Hutt, and Feathenton. Late Trains, for operas, theatres, public meetings, &c, can he put on on application to the Manager. * The Hallway Departaent does not pledge itself to the despatch or arrival of the trains at the exact times notified in the above t*bles, and in the event of any circunstances arising, either during or prior to the journey being made, which may render it impossible or inexpedient for a train to proceed, will return the fares paid, but does not undertake to forward the passengers. Luggage.— Each passenger is allowed to take llSlbs. of personal luggage free (net including merchandise of any kind), and for every 561bs. above this weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 50 miles, tbe chanre will be one shilling. No luggage will he allowed to be taken into the carriages, unless of such a size that it can be placed under the seat without inconvenience to other passengers. Passengers are strongly recommended to have their names and the station to which they are proceeding distinctly marked on then* luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it Is placed on tbe train, as the Railway Department will not be responsible wile's it ia booked and paid for. Passengers can be booked at stations only on condition that there is room in the train. Children under three years of ags travel free ; above three and under fourteen years of age. half-fare. Horses Carriages, &c— The Railway Department does not undertake to forward horses and carriages by any particular train; but, when sent, they must be at the forwarding station huf-an-hour before the departure of tbe train. The owners of horses must provide moaui for wcuriujf thenta the bone-box, and the Railway Department will not be accountable for any injuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious horses. At country stations requisitions for horse-boxes or carriage-trucks must be mtde the day before they are wanted. Dogs must be provided with chains, or other sufficient means of securing them. They will not be allowed hi carriages, and the sender must obtain a ticket, to bs given up before tbe end, of tbe journey, before the dog is delivered. Return or Periodical Tickets will not be available for special or excursion trains, except the ordinary time-table is suspended. Return Tickets for distances not exceeding 85 miles are available on the day of issue enly ; for each additional 85 miles, orfraction thereof, one day extra is allowed. All Tickets used for return later than the day of issue must be presented at the Ticket Window, and re-dated before the passenger enter the train for the return journey. Any person neglecting to get his ticket re-dated will have to pay the ordinary f*re 1 »rd_ary Single Tickets issued on Saturdays and Sundays are available.
