Goodman's York, 9st 21b 1 Neilson's Te Whetu, 12st lib ... 2 Dodson's President, lOstSlb ... 3 Starlight, Dalesman, Vampire, Camellia, and The Agent were scratched. York was the favorite, nnd won easily. Time, lmin 25£ sec. SPRING HANDICAP. Mason's Lady Ellen, 4yrs, 7st ... 1 Neilson's Luna, 4yrs, Bst lib ... 2 Smith's Benjiroo, aged, Bst 31b ... 3 Blue Peter, Ratcatcher, Dalesman, Larrikin, and Sapphira also ran. Luna was the favorite, and a splendid race took place between her and Lady Ellen. The latter won by a head. Time, 2min 3£sec. I
