TRAMWAY ACCIDENT.
? This afternoon as a cart belonging to Mr. Henry Southee, of the Hutt, and; laden with corn, was proceeding along Lambton-quay, opposite the Athenseum, a tramway engine passed, and the horse suddenly jibbed, backing the cart right in front of the engine. A collision ensued, ia which the cart got seriously the worst of it, beiner capsized, and one wheel smashed to pieces. Fortunately the driver escaped unhurt, and the horse was not injured.
