Yesterday. In the Council yesterday the report of the Local Bills Committee on the Wellington Reserves Bill was presented. The report stated that the allegations contained in tho preamble were not sustained, but tbe Committee nevertheless recommended that the bill should be passed.— Tho Literary Institutions and Public Libraries Bill was read a third time and parsed. — There wa9 a short debate on the motion for goinir into Committee on the Dangerous Goods Bill. Ultimately the bill was committed, aud progress was reported. — The Juries Act Amendment Bill passed through Committee, aud the Council adjourned at 9.30 p.m.
