Last night the subject was, •"' What is the use of Phrenology ? " There are several other interesting lectures for ensuing nights. Each evening's entertainment concludes with a public examination of some persons present, and the descriptions of character aud ability are remarkably connect. Referring to some recent vagaries and maunderings of " the Colonial Journal," the Wairarapa Standard explains " that several escaped lunatics are at present known to be at large, and that possibly one of them has found an asylum in the editorial office of our contemporary." At the Theatre Royal last evening, Signor and Signora Majeroni took their joint benefit, and made their final appearance to a very full house. The play selected for the occasion was "Jealousy," one of their happiest' efforts. It wns performed throughout in capital style, recalls and showers of bouquets being the order of the night. The Star Club will thus nave a busy week in the Wairarapa. Why, that as a strcngthener of tlie weak, an invigorant of the organs of digestion and excretion, a solace for the aged and decrepit, as a season medicine, a remedy for uterine, kidney and bladder complaints, a protection against changes of air, water, and diet, and an antidote to the consequences of dissipation, late hours and overwork, that Udolpho Wolfe's Scheidam Aromatic Schnapps is absolutely matchless. — [Advt.]
