Port Chalmers, 3rd December. Sailed— Albion Company's ship Invercargill, for London, with 16 passengers and the following carpo:— 4lß2 bale 3 wool. 3852 cases preserved meats, 252 casks tallow, 15 bales rabbit skins, 21 bags bones, 23 kegs butter, 229 sacks wheat, and 4 boxes gold. Wanganui. 3rd December. The schooner Hannah Barratt.f rom Lyttelton, after crossing the bar on Saturday, and -while beating into the river, ran into the cliff opposite the flagstaff, carrying away her jibboom and starting the taffrail. The St. Hilda arrived shortly after the accident, and towed the schooner off and brought her up to the wharf. 4th December. Arrived, 9.30 a.m. — Stormbird, from Wellington. Nelson, 4th December. Arrived, early— Wanaka and Alhambra, from Wellington. Blbnhkim, 4th December. Arrived, 5 a.m.— Napier, from Wellington. LttteijTON, 4th December. Arrived, 8.30 a.m.— Taupo, from Wellington. The p.B. Manawatu left Wanganui at 7.30 lost night, took the schooner Colleen Bawn in tow, ami crossed the bar at 8 o'clock. Experienced fine weather, and arrived here at 8.30 this morning. She returns to Wanganui to-morrow afternoon. The steamers Napier for Blenheim, and Jane Douglas for Foxton, sailed lost evening. The Taupo, for the South, got away in the afternoon of the same day. The steamer Rangatira leaves at 4 p.m. today for Napier and Poverty Bay, taking the following passengers :— Cabin— Messrs. Wilmer and Jay ; 5 steerage. The s.B. Kiwi leaves for Castlepoint and Naiper this afternoon. A cutter, supposed to be the Hero, from Picton, was signalled this afternoon. Captain Williams' steamer Grafton, we are informed, left Sydney for Wellington on Tuesday last. She is therefore overdue here now, anil will probably arrive to-night. The B.s. Stormbird leaves Wanganui this evening, and -will arrive here to-morrow morning. She leaves again to-morrow evening for Foxton. The s.b. Albion, from Melbourne via the West Coast, -will arrive in Wellington either tomorrow night or early on Thursday morning. The B.s. Hinemoa steamed round to tho Patent Slip this morning for cleaning. The barque Crownthorpe, from London, was berthed at the wharf to-day. We are glad to hear that the cutter Dido, which recently went ashore on the rocks at Totaranui, has been successfully floated. Temporary repairs were made, and the cargo, which was intended for West Wanganui, was reshipped, and in all probability by this time the cutter has arrived in Nelson, where she will be thoroughly repaired. The damage to the vessel will cause an outlay of about £150.
