TIMARU. sth September.
At the Resident Magistrate's Court to-day, three young men, charged with stealing a turkey, were sentenced to three months' hard labour. This is thought to be a very harsh sentence. James Binstead and Chas. Herbert, charged with perjury, arising from a civil cases in the District Court, Blythe v. Wadsworth, wore dismissed.
