A SURVIVOR OF NELSON'S DAY'S.

Admiral Philip Westphal is, it appears, not the actual last survivor of Nelson's great victory over the Danish fleet at Copenhagen, 2nd April, 1801, that honour being shared by Captain George Hilton, R.N., now heading the H.I.X. list of retired captains. Captain Hilton entered the navy 82 years ago, three months after Admiral Westphal, and was second lieutenant on board the Orion when the fleet was in Danish waters. He was appointed by Admiral Gambier (afterwards Lord Gambier) to command the Pearl at the Battle of Copenhagen, and is now in his ninety-seventh year, and in the enjoyment of excellent health.
