Lyttelton, Gth September. Bailed. — 5.30 p.m., Hawea, for Dunedin. Auckland, Gth September. Arrived.— / The Loch Fergus, from London, after a passage of 98 days. She brings two thoroughbred horses for Waikato. The Tauno is detained till to-morrow morning through stress of weather. Bluff, Gth September. Arrived. — Chance, whaler, with 55 tons of sperm oil, taken during month's cruise ; William Ackers and Thomas and Henry, from Newcastle. Foxton, 7th September. Sailed. — 9 a.m., Matau, for Westport; 9 a.m., Tui, for Rangitikei. Wanganui, 7th September. Arrived.— 9 a.m., Stormbird, from Wellington; 10.15 a.m., Manawatu, from Wellington. Manukau, 7th September. Sailed.— l2.3o p.m., Taupo, for the South.
The s.s. Albion, from Sydney, via the West , Coast, arrived in harbor at 9 o'clock last night, with a full complement of cargo and passengers. She left Sydney at 4 p in. on the 30th ulfc. ; cleared the Heads at 5.10 p.m., and exgerienced for the first two days fine weather, after -which a S.W. wind set iv and blew very hard till arrival off Hokitika, at 5.30 a.m. on the 4th inst. Owing to a heavy sea running she had to procepd to Nelson without being tendered at Hokitika, experiencing very rough weather, accompanied with rain, to arrival, at 9.30 a.m. on the sth. She left Nelson again at 9.U0 yesterday morning, and had fine weather to arrival here as above. The Albion -will sail again on Friday for Hobart Town and Melbourne, via the South. The s.s. Wellington leaves Lyttelton this afternoon at 5 o'clock for Wellington, and will arrive here about 9 a.m. to-morrow. She sails North at 2 p.m. to-morrow. The steamers Mauawatu and Stormbird, for Wanganui, sailed last night. The* ketch Otaki was launched oft' Messrs Coffey and Dixon's slip yesterday, after undergoing some repairs, and the ketch Reliance was taken on for the purpose of having her bottom coppered. The s.s. Rangatira's departure for Napier, owing to her boiler undergoing some repairs, was postponed until 12 o'clock this morning, when she sailed for the above-named port. The p.s. Manawatu arrived at Wanganui at 10.15 tin's morning. She will leave again about 11 o'clock to-night, and may be expected here about noon to-morrow. The s.a. Tui, which has been bar-bouud at Foxton since the Ist inst., left there this morning at 9 o'clock for Rangitikei. She will arrive here to-morrow, and leave again for Foxton on Saturday. The s.s. Stormbird arrived at Wangauui at 9 o'clock this morning. She will leave there again at 11 o'clock to-night, and may be expected here about the same hour to-morrow. The s.s. Taupo, after being 24 hours' barbound at the Manukau, crossed the bar at 12.30 this afternoon, and is expected to arrive at this port early on Saturday. The s.s. Kiwi will leave Napier sometime tonight, and is expected to arrive here to-morrow evening. The schooner Excelsior sailed early this morning for Pelorus Sound. The schooner Zior got away this morning for Westport.
