V.- Jackson To Messrs. John Plimmer, W. Tustin, John Petford, H. Inniss, S. S. Griffiths, and the other Ratepayers signing the requisition. Gentlemen, — In compliance with your very flattering and numerously signed requisition to represent Te Aro Ward in the City Council, I beg to offer you my services. I simply contest the Election on the grounds that a Te Aro man should represent Te Aro Ward, and that an infusion of new blood into the Council would at the present juncture be of vital importance and advantage to the city generally. I am strongly opposed to the purchase of the Gas Works by the Corporation at the exorbitant price agreed upon at the last meetiug of the Council, but would not object to have the price fixed by arbitration, after the vote of the citizen upon the subject had been taken. Should I have the honor of being returned, I beg to assure you that I will at all times en deavor to faithfully represent the true interest of the Te Aro Ward, and of the City of Wellington, unbiassed by any party feeling. I have the honor to be, Gentlemen, Yours truly, PHILIP MOELLER. Wellington, 28th August. A T TE ARO HOUSE. * 3*3 * EX ffiJlib-CAMPERDOWN Grand Display Of New Costumes On Saturday. <^" EX DUNBRITTON.
