The election took place to-day, and despite the efforts of the Superintendent and anti-centralists' league, Mr. Reynolds proved victorious, the votes polled being, Reynolds 241 ; Green' 185. Majority for Reynolds, 56. Arrived — Ship Rakaia from London with 48 passengers and 200 tons cargo, 1 short horn bull and 81 Liecester sheep. She left Gravesend on 30th September.
