THE WINTER TRADE. J. M'DOWELL & CO. BEG to thank the inhabitants of Wellington and tbe surrounding provinces for the large amount of patronage accorded to them since their first opening in Wellington, and they have great pleasure in stating that the large and steady increase which has taken place in their business, has necessitated their building new and commodious premises, so as to enable them to hold ajstock in proportion to their increasing trade. Tbeir new premises having been completed for some time, has enabled them to hold a stock much in excess of anything they have hitherto exhibited ; and the punctual arrivals of the vessel? containing tbeir first shipments, has enabled them to open up a new stock for tbe season, consisting of ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-NINE PACKAGES. As the greater portion of these goods have been selected directly for our especial trade by a buyer thoroughly conversant with the requirements of this colony, who has a large New Zealand experience, we feel great confidence in recommending them to our customers and the public in general.
