LATER FROM AMERICA.
The Belvidere, from California to Sydney, brings news from New York to February J. 6. President Johnson has made a speech advocating kindness to the multitude, who, he said, were forced into rebellion. The Reconstruction Committee denounced this policy, and it is reported
that the Senate intends impeaching Mr. Johnson for misdemeanour, maladministration, and overriding his powers in carrrying out his reconstruction policy. Chief Justice Chase will preside. The French Troops in Mexico are to be replaced by 100,000 Austrians.
