TEAM SELECTED
Next Saturday the Ellesmere Gun Club is to send a team to Methven to compete against a team chosen by the Methven Club. Those selected to represent Ellesmere are: L. C. Lemon, W. J. Patterson, G. M. I Doyle, W. Quigley, jun., C. G. Gilbert, E. A. Washbourne, L. W. Prosser, F. L. Graham, A. A. Greenwood, T. Gordon, I. Mawson, L.. Chambers and W. H. Winchester. If any of those selected are unable to make the trip they should notify Mr G. M. Doyle, secretary of the club by Friday. SUCCESSES AT CHRISTCHURCH Very consistent form has been shown in all the matches he has competed in recently by G. M. Doyle, of the Ellesmere Club. In spite of the wet weather on Saturday he continued on his winning way, taking first prize in a £25 match held by the Christchurch Club on its ground at Sockburn. He was the only competitor to score the possible of 20 birds. W. Quigley, jun., and L. W. Prosser, of the Ellesmere Club, each one down, shared second and third money, totalling £12/10/-, with J. Brightling. In a sweepstake of five birds, W. Quigley, jun., with a possible shared the money with two others. In a ten-bird match G. M. Doyle, with one down, shared the third prize money t with two others.
