Seven thousand domestic pets have been rescued so far in London by "flyiing squad" motor caravans of the Peoples' Dispensary for Sick Animals of the Poor. Amid the crumbling walls of one house, Superintendent C. C. Harris found under the remains of a table a terrier and six puppies.
