Complimentary Social
LEESTON ON THURSDAY
FIVE SOLDIER-GUESTS
Five Leeston soldiers will be the guests at the complimentary social to be held by the Patriotic Committee on behalf of the citizens of the town at the Town Hall on Thursday evening. They are Gunners D. Bryce, R. Mercer, Privates C. Reid, E. McClure and W. Smellie.
The programme for the evening will include dancing, cards and musical items. A short address on an appropriate subject will also be given. Redway's Band will play the music for the dances. The ladies' committee will, as usual, have charge of the supper arrangements.
A large attendance of the public is anticipated as this is an opportunity for the residents of the town to show, in a public way, their appreciation of the services being rendered to the country by the guests.
